Things to do on 30A when the weather is cool

This will be a long post because I've been busy enjoying the nicest time of year here and I haven't wanted to spend a lot of time inside. Here are suggestions for some things to do when it is cool.
Go to Paradis in Rosemary Beach for an early dinner. I love the food, the drinks, the service, the surroundings. I'm a lousy food photographer but trust me the tuna is yum.

I'm also crazy about Bud and Alley's. Not only is it the best place for sunset, the food is good and the owner is one of the best citizen's this coastline could ever ask for.

Go to the beach in the early morning. Yes it is cool but there is no better place to start the day than at a SoWal beach. You never know what you will see but it is always interesting.

The sand dunes are remarkable to look at against the blue sky, the water is the prettiest color in the world almost every day and the sea life always provides some kind of awesome visual (okay sometimes kind of eerie but it's the ocean after all, the truth is we don't really know much about it). We ran into a Pink Meanie or two or three or four, this week. Stunning and Medusa like, they might be attracted to the bloom of Moon Jellyfish that we have also been seeing here of late. I notice that the seagulls love to hang with them.

Go to the calendar and make sure you are in town for Halloween weekend next year so you can attend "Halloweener" in Seaside.

The wiener dogs race at the Seaside Green and it is so entertaining there is no way not to have fun. This year's race winner was a late entry and he was, in a word, "Dapper". There is also a costume contest and that is pretty funny too.
This weekend, on Sunday, you will find me at the CAA event: Flutterby. It will be held in Rosemary Beach this year. If if you have kids and you are visiting here or you live close by and you don't bring them to this event then you are just mean.
