Another 30A Songwriters Festival...done
It was a great weekend. It always is. The energy this festival brings to 30A is marvelous. Here we are in January and the restaurants and stores were busy with the nicest sort of people. Really. For the most part, this is a very, very polite crowd. The musicians are grateful to fill a room and then everyone listens. Imagine that.
I'm only noting personal favorites of the day so for Saturday, the most fun we had was listening to Charlie Mars. Irreverent, surprising and fun. We got to hear Liz Longley again so I will mention that her again as someone we will be listening to often.
Sunday at Gulf Place, it was a treat to hear everyone that played but the end of the concert with Graham Nash singing Teach Your Children with Stephen Stills son Chris Stills was very touching. It is a good song now, it was a good song then. Somethings never change.

A great weekend of music. Bravo to the CAA and Russell Carter for bringing it to us!
