30A Songwriters Festival 2015

Every year we look forward to this event. The weather is cold but you get out and about, even at the outdoor venues, because the music is everywhere. Yep, some of the best songwriters that ever walked the planet are on our little 30A this week. If you have been attending the festival since the beginning you probably have your favorites that you have had the pleasure of hearing and that every year you hope like heck you will see again. I always hope to see Rodney Crowell and Tift Merritt. This year I will get to see Rodney Crowell again...not sure about Tift. Yeah, Tift...I feel like I know her well now. Silly me, but I do know her music. Anyhow...Graham Nash will be here as will Leon Russell so that will be an unexpected treat. Imagine that. And how exciting to be introduced to musicians you've never met and those you never thought you would want to meet. This is a venue to hear music the way the writer intended it to be heard...well at least the way they wrote it. Kind of raw sometimes and always pure. That is the beauty of this festival. It's a pleasant education.

So here's to this years 30a Songwriters Festival...hooks, lines and singers. Can't wait.
