NW Florida Beaches

The beaches continue to be clear at Blue Mountain Beach in South Walton. Well, we have some seaweed but it's the time of the year for that. The dark areas on the beach and in the water are the seaweed and small dark spots in the water are people having fun.

We had a community meeting last night about the gulf mess. I'm proud of what the county is doing to be prepared. They have blocked the dune lakes, prepared and stashed all different types of material that we hope will be helpful if the spill comes this way. This is uncharted territory but the weather conditions continue to be on our side.

We go see Digital Graffiti tomorrow in Alys Beach. That will be a unique experience to enjoy. Artwork projected on the white walls of the buildings. Very exciting.
