Beautiful Weather

Last weekend, the humidity hovered in some kind of wonderful zone and I got to really enjoy gardening again. Pruned the crazy zinnias; untangled the vines that were trying to cover and choke the sweet brown eyed Susan's; watered the wild plants that I suspect hold a chrysalis or two and; gave a little attention to the pitiful, but still flowering tomato plants. This weekend it was hot again but the dog days of summer are clearly on the retreat.

On the real estate front, Bruce sold a beautiful Gulf front homesite in Seagrove recently. It was one of the very last Gulf front lots in the area. Just east of Seaside, Seagrove is one of my all-time favorite places. It has the most wonderful roads and alleys that are canopied in scrub oak. It feels a little like Coconut Grove because the interior roads are kind of overgrown and shady, not entirely tame. We are looking forward to visiting with the new owners over the Labor Day weekend. They will build a dream home with absolutely amazing views of the most beautiful water anywhere.
