Last night we had a really nice SWELL meeting at the library at Redfish Village. Phillip with One Hand Clapping spoke about a yoga perspective on the environment. Very nice and calming. It was a small group and so we also had time to share a little about ourselves as individuals and it was just great to hear people talk about themselves in terms of their interests. Lot's of community involvement and lots of interest in environmental issues from studying the intricacies of the different kinds of deer moss in our area to concern about beach use issues that affect our economy and our pursuit of happiness.

On a very sad note, we heard of the passing of our dear neighbor, Ray of "Ray and Toni". Ray was very special to me for teaching me about gardening tips like planting tomato seeds from salad scraps, how to plant a potato and vertical garden techniques. He was kind and generous in that way and I will miss him. Toni's has always been one of my "favorite places" in South Walton. Toni and Ray have worked very hard on their fresh produce market and it is a special place to shop. She will be closed today but it will be open this weekend with friends and patrons helping out.
